SolidWorks Gold Partner Zeal Solutions has released QuickSilver DDM Version 3, which incorporates a number of enhancements and improvements to its interface to make it even more intuitive and user friendly.

The enhancements include: configuration specific drag and drop into SolidWorks; configuration specific preview images; configuration specific e-drawings; external BoM creation; local working; and support for other documents.

Visitors to the SolidWorks User Group meeting held by CADDEdge in Boston last week were treated to a PDM Forum where QuickSilver DDM was demonstrated alongside PDM/Works and MaxxDB.

The general consensus was that QuickSilver DDM's advanced integration is more streamlined than the competition.

QuickSilver DDM also proved to be the only package on show capable of handling configurations as independent entities, allowing SolidWorks users to have different configurations at different revision levels and with independent attribute information.

"We pride ourselves in being at the forefront of innovation for SolidWorks data management", commented Ian Rudge, Head of Operations at Zeal.

"By listening to customer comments and requests we feel that Version 3, and future releases, will continue to position QuickSilver DDM as the leader in its field and enable us to offer users what they want - SolidWorks data management, simply and effectively".
