Maintenance-free gearboxes for demanding
drives
The new Graessner PowerGear range allows designers and end users to reduce the size and weight of assemblies while ensuring high levels of reliability and minimal maintenance.
Powerful, compact and versatile, the new Graessner PowerGear range from ZF allows designers and end users to reduce the size and weight of assemblies while ensuring high levels of reliability and minimal maintenance from a sealed-for-life unit Offering torque outputs of up to 7800Nm, a range of mounting options, three different shaft configurations and a broad range of gear ratios, PowerGear gearboxes have both the power and the flexibility to improve performance in a wide range of industrial applications

PowerGear units are ideal for use in general applications such a multi-drive conveying, transfer and handling systems as well as high accuracy machine tools.
Specification options include two-, three- and four-way shaft configurations and gear ratios ranging from 1:1 to 5:1.
With Gleason bevel gearing providing high levels of efficiency (98%), and a parameter optimised gear tooth contact pattern that promotes uniform load distribution, the units are able to offer high levels of torque compared to their diminutive size.
The PowerGear range offers the maximum performance from the smallest size envelope, allowing designers to create lighter and smaller assemblies with improved replacement and maintenance operations.
Housings and flanges are made of spheroidal graphite iron for maximum rigidity and the use of high quality taper roller bearings allows a high axial and radial load capacity, making the units ideal for applications that require high precision and rigidity.
Units have already been specified for use in machine tools and labelling machines.
By removing the need for additional shaft couplings or flanges, and offering various mounting options, ZF PowerGear units are easy to fit and make an ideal replacement for a broad range of existing units.
A long operational life is achieved using a friction-locked fit between shaft and bevel gear that results in fretting-free torque transfer.
The gearboxes are also lubricated for life with synthetic grease and depending on their size, are maintenance-free if operated under normal conditions, further reducing costs and downtime. Request a free brochure from ZF Great Britain ...
