Insulation suits clean environments

A Zotefoams product story

UFP Technologies' new insulation system uses a grade of Zotefoams' Zotek F fluoropolymer foam.

UFP has created an insulation system developed for stainless steel process lines in clean environments.

The system uses a grade of Zotefoams' Zotek F fluoropolymer foam tailored specifically to meet the requirements of the application.

The T-Tubes insulation system is designed to meet the requirements of clean process environments such as the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor and nuclear industries.

UFPT will market and develop T-Tubes in North America while Zotefoams will be responsible for the brand in Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Zotefoams will manufacture the foam at its Croydon UK facility and, initially, conversion of foam into finished products will be undertaken by UFPT in Georgetown, Massachusetts, USA.

The T-Tubes insulation system offers a range of benefits to clean process users and insulation contractors alike.

It has a wide temperature tolerance (-48C to +160C) and combines chemical, moisture and UV resistance with low smoke, flame and toxicity properties.

T-Tubes require no jacketing.

A complete range of custom moulded fittings and an overlapping self-adhesive tape closure system makes the T-Tube system easy and fast to install and with wall thickness as low as 6mm, the system saves space and permits areas to be covered that cannot be insulated readily by other methods.

The fine, closed-cell nature of the Zotek F foam allows for cutting and installation within the clean environment without the need for hoods or bags.
