Foam is fit for use in clean-room
equipment

First foam insulation to meet the rigorous FM Global 4910 standard for flammability of clean room materials.

Zotek F 42 HT LS, a PVDF foam based on Kynar PVDF and manufactured by Zotefoams, has recently been awarded FM Global 4910 Approval FM 4910 is the clean room materials flammability test protocol and Zotek F 42 HT LS is reported to be the first foam insulation to meet this rigorous standard

Zotek F 42 HT LS is a high-temperature foam, recommended for use in a variety of sealing and insulation applications in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical and chemical processing industries, where exceptionally low smoke release and flame propagation is required in the event of fire.

It can be used over a wide temperature range from -48 to +155C where the material retains its ductility and resilience.

Zotek F HT LS foam exhibits exceptionally low outgasing of VOCs under semiconductor standards for clean rooms.

The purity is based on Zotefoams unique manufacturing process that expands engineering resins such as ultrapure Kynar PVDF into high performance foams using only inert nitrogen gas, heat and pressure.

Zotek F foams possess excellent chemical and UV resistance, primarily due to the properties of Kynar PVDF, the base polymer.

Zotek F foams exhibit only slight reduction in mechanical properties and show exceptional colour retention, even after long exposure to UV.

A successful application for clean environments is T-Tubes, a revolutionary, advanced insulation system specifically developed for personnel protection on hot steam lines in the biotech industry.

The closed-cell nature of Zotek F 42 HT LS allows for cutting and installing in clean environments without particulating.

Combined with the sealed surface of the thermally moulded T-Tubes, it provides excellent moisture and mould growth resistance and removes the need for cumbersome jacketing used in other pipe insulation systems.

Thanks to custom moulded fittings such as elbows, Ts and valve covers and an overlapping self-adhering tape, T-Tubes are said to be easy and fast to install, saving time and money. Request a free brochure from Zotefoams ...
